Indie rock duo Matt & Kim and bluesy pop performers ZZ Ward and Gin Wigmore will kick off the 2013 season of Nashville's Live On the Green on August 8.
Performers for the 5th annual free outdoor concert series - held at Nashville's Public Square Park - were announced on June 28, but organizers waited until July 5 to reveal when each act would perform.
Headliners and dates for the remainder of the concert series include Matt Nathanson (August 15), Michael Franti & Spearhead (August 22), Robert Randolph and the Family Band (August 29), Local Natives (September 5) and Moon Taxi (September 12).
Live On the Green runs from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday nights from August 8 to September 12. The concerts are free and open to the public. VIP passes granting complimentary food and beverages, seated viewing areas and more are on sale at www.liveonthegreen.net.
